Kym and Carol de Lucy have been constructing playgrounds since 1983. Initially, their involvement was installation of prepared timber kits, but as playgrounds designs became more challenging, the structures became fully contructed on-site.

Playgrounds and playground structures became more custom designed play environments and integrated with landscape, shade, soft-fall, water play, sand and mud play, and included a wider array of materials, and textures. Kym and Carol have always moved ahead with the current times and risen to the challenges, regardless of how creative/ out of the ordinary the challenges became, imputing their own ideas, developed from observation of playgrounds in use.
